Frequently Asked Questions
Not always. Certain Ultra 500 variants use different packings. Check your sprayer label (model, series, and serial) or contact support to confirm before ordering.
Loss of pressure, pulsation at the gun, difficulty priming, or coating leakage from the pump packings are common signs that packings/seals are worn and should be replaced.
Basic hand tools usually suffice. A clean work area, correct torque, and following the service manual are key. Some techs use a soft-jaw vise to stabilize the pump section during disassembly.
Use proper filtration and tip size, avoid over-pressurizing, flush after each use, and store per Graco recommendations. Keep the pump lubricated where applicable.
