Frequently Asked Questions
A U-cup seal has a “U-shaped” cross-section with dual lips — one lip seals against the housing (static), and the other seals around the piston/rod (dynamic). As pressure increases, the seal lips energize — creating tighter sealing and preventing leaks.
Viton (fluoropolymer elastomer) offers excellent chemical resistance, heat and abrasion resistance — ideal for demanding environments like paint/pump systems that handle solvents, coatings or high-pressure fluids.
