Frequently Asked Questions
Short/horizontal filters (like Graco 243226) sit in a low-profile manifold. If your machine shows a tall vertical cap, it likely uses the long/vertical filter—use the part specified in your manual for that housing style.
Match mesh to material: 200-mesh (Red) for thin/medium coatings; 100-mesh (Blue) or 60-mesh for heavier paints/primers. Using too-fine a mesh on thick coatings can restrict flow and spike pressure.
Flush after each use and remove the filter to rinse from the inside-out. Replace if the mesh is torn, crushed, or won’t clear after cleaning. Keep spare filters on hand to minimize downtime.
Cross-Reference & Notes
- Color code: Red = 200-mesh (Easy-Out series color coding).
- Use with the short/horizontal Easy-Out manifold only; other housings require different filters.
- Always confirm with your sprayer’s parts manual for exact fit and mesh recommendations.
